The Jacksonville Bulls were part of the United States Football League (USFL), founded in 1982 and lasted until 1985. When they joined this new league, they needed to come up with a team name that would capture the spirit of Florida’s largest city—Jacksonville! After much deliberation, they decided on “Bulls” because it represented strength and power—just like their home state!
In addition to being symbolic of Florida's strength, the Bulls are also known for their tenacity, which resonated with many USFL fans who wanted an exciting brand of football played by teams from all across America. This made sense for Jacksonville, too, since many people associated them with hard-nosed players who never gave up no matter the situation during games or practices!
Overall, there's no denying that "Bulls" is one cool nickname for any team--especially when considering its origins within USFL lore! Not only does it represent toughness, but it also pays homage to both Florida culture & American pride through its symbolism--making sure everyone knows exactly why we call them "the Jaxx Bullies!"

History of the Bulls
The Jacksonville Bulls were a professional American football team based in Jacksonville, Florida, that played in the United States Football League (USFL) from 1984-1985. The Bulls were among the most successful teams during their two years of existence, making it to the USFL Championship game in both seasons and winning it all in 1985. The team was owned by businessman Fred Bullard and coached by former NFL head coach Lindy Infante.
During their two-year tenure, they had some great players on their roster, such as quarterback Brian Sipe who threw for over 4500 yards with 33 touchdowns during his time there; wide receiver Trumaine Johnson who caught 82 passes for 1120 yards; running back Greg Bell who rushed for 1271 yards and 15 touchdowns; linebacker John Corker whose ten interceptions led the league that season; defensive end David Lewis whose 11 sacks earned him All-USFL honors as well as many others which made them one of best teams ever assembled at any level.
Despite being so successful on the field, unfortunately, financial difficulties caused by legal issues between Trump & other owners coupled with a lack of TV deals hurt attendance numbers & ultimately resulted in folding up after just 2 years but not without leaving an indelible mark on sports fans' hearts throughout North Florida region!
